Seascape Golf Club
About
Originally Rio Del Mar Country Club, Seascape Golf Club is a classic 18-hole layout perched on the coast highlands of the Monterey Peninsula. Opened in 1926, the course was actually shut down during World War II when it served as a “victory garden” to help grow crops for the nation's war effort. After the war it came back with its new name, but old charm. The golf course is just a half mile from the Pacific Ocean, but it's largely protected by Monterey pines and eucalyptus trees that surround it. Seascape Golf Club features well maintained fairways, strategically placed bunkers and small, tricky greens.

Worth it for the $
Got to play on Black Friday on beautiful day and course
Pace of play could have been better but otherwise good day and definitely would play course again
Nice course
Had a delightful time playing there.. Tee'd up at 1:08 on Thursday with no waiting on any hole. Just finished b/f dark.. The greens were sloped and very difficult. The fairways were wide and in good shape.. Thumbs up...
Great shape
I live in the area and found the course to be in the best shape I've ever seen it. The fairways were groomed nicely and the greens were mostly unblemished. We are thinking we'd better go play it again very soon to take advantage of it's current condition.
Challenging course
This course makes you work for a par. Great skills challenge. The clubhouse guy wasn’t too friendly but the starter was a really nice guy.
Seascape
The course is challenging and in good shape. Pace of play for a Saturday was ok. Fun time
Beautiful and Hot
Great day in Aptos, 90+ degrees with no wind. A first for me. I recommend that on days like this they provide a cart girl on the course. She would of made a killing.
GREAT LOCATION
Beautiful course near the Pacific ocean. Greens are fast and smooth. A fun course to play
Great Cosst Side Course
A fun & fair Nothern California course. Great staff. Always enjoy playing Seascape.
Like Coming Back Here
I have always enjoyed playing Seascape. It's been 25 years, with long gaps in between visits, that I've played it (about 15x) and it's been consistently in good condition, good in customer service and reasonable on price. The clubhouse amenities are not special, but very comfortable and spacious.
Local
This is one of my local courses. This day it was in pretty darn good shape. The early fog made some drives extra challenging but overall a very fun morning.
Challenging
Great course for great golfers and beautiful course for hackers and everybody in between who like beautiful courses. A more pleasant attitude would've been nice from the guy taking the money, smiles and friendliness are appreciated by all.
Improve a good track. Valuable land....
Course could be sooo much better! The tee boxes are poor. The markers are Rocks! C'mon. The signs are sooo last decade. No benches..... while you wait.
Fairways are beat up. Holes and ruts. Patches of dirt. Grass missing or so poor you have to bump your ball for a hit able lay. Greens are pretty good.... but the pin placement should take advantage of full green. Front edge stuff is challenging but does not exhibit the quality of the greens..... one of the few good assets.
It's a great track..... but poorly maintained. The sport is expensive. Play is dropping off.
Beautiful course
Challenging yet can post birds! Like to see it for around 50 bucks for 18 with a cart though
Beautiful course
Perfect weather. Great course. Play moved well. Met some great people. Enjoyed having a drink in the bar with the bartender Jay, who is very personable!!
Escape the heat in Aptos
No choice to select NICE or COOL weather, not PERFECT, but 65* compared to 100* inland was NICE.
Scenic layout with lots of severely sloping greens.
Some very tight driving holes....local knowledge is helpful.
Not long, but soft conditions due to moist weather.
3some played in 4.5 hrs despite waiting for 5some ahead of us.
