Great Hot Deal
This round was well worth the value because of the Hot Deal rate. I will play again whenever Hot Deals like this are offered. Thanks to GolfNow for the opportunity.
Great course conditions and very playable.
They need to do a lot of work to repair the cart paths.
East Coast Golfer
Very nice local course, not very long, but the rough can be thick at times. The folks at the pro shop were very nice and helpful. There are a few very tight driving holes, which makes the rough that much harder. Overall, it was a very enjoyable course.
Enjoyable course
Fun course, some tricky and narrow tree lines holes made the course fun. We were pleasantly surprised with the afternoon pace of play. Staff from pro shop to the bar were very friendly. Would play this course again.
EnjoyableSunday
First nine holes are not demanding from the tees, but that changes on some holes on the second nine. The green approaches are rarely straightforward and the medium to quick greens have a few surprises. Not too hilly with a few slopes, and the course certainly does not need to be ridden. Staff friendly and the course was not busy so no waiting on tees
OK but ...
The course is in reasonable condition with the exception of the bunkers. I won't call them sand traps because there is NO SAND (at least regarding the holes in which I found myself in a bunker).
Great Course
Have played the course before but it was not like this. The course was awesome and the greens were true unlike last time I played. Greens were very bumpy and leaves were all around on the greens. This experience leaves me wanting more and will again, play at this course. Excellent views and the hospitality shown was above and beyond.
Great value and beginner friendly
I play this course at least once when I am in town. Weekdays are always great and great value for the weekend duffer. Locals are friendly and almost always let you play through when playing solo. Be careful when looking for your ball on OB areas, lots of poison ivy!
Rancho Golf
Really nice course design. The course conditions are relatively good in drought situation. Actually very little impact visible due to lack of water. Greens are great design and good condition, bit quick as they should be.
Round of golf was at a good pace ( course marshal asked one group ahead of us to allow us to play through which helped us get in a quick round ).
Nice outing, will return to play again when in the area.
Lovely Monterey Bay Gem
The Monterey Bay has the best climate for golf. I live in San Jose and despise golfing in the Silicon Valley. The 72 mile drive is completely worth it.
Crisp mornings, a bit of fog, and not too much wind (that seems to come around at noon or so).
Rancho Canada is a great golf course, especially for the money. 36 holes that offer some challenges on the tee box and greens that test your speed.
If you are looking to get out and work on your game, RC is a prime spot to do so.
Great course! Great value
I played the west course and found it to be very fun. The staff was very friendly and the course and grass driving was in great condition. Bunkers were soft and well taken care of. Had a great time and would definitely play it again.
Great Go To Course
I have played this and the west course a lot over the past 30 years and I still enjoy the layout and design. The infrastructure is deteriorating, sidewalks, cart paths, etc. but the grass is still good. They do need to trim the low hanging branches on the trees, including the ones right next to the clubhouse.
great deal
We played at 630am and got a great deal on Golfnow. We did experience some wind trouble. The pace of play was great. The course is in good shape.
The view on the East Course
Enjoyed the course. It easier the second time around...Enjoyed the driving range and the other facilities. Very peaceful.
Fun course
Well-maintained course, has a lot to offer all players. If it was in for golf now I probably would not play the course. Now that I've played it I will go back there with or without golf now.

Great place for couples, they try to let you out as a twosome. Very unusual, great find!
T & A's Very Good Golf Adventure at Rancho Canada
Rancho Canada a number of times with my son and as always, we had a great time. The course was in very good condition except some of the tee boxes grass was so so. Other than that the course , greens, and weather was excellent - and we got a super deal via Golf Now so the price was the best ever!
Course was dry do to lack of rain on California
Course was dry do to lack of water in California other then that it's ok

I was in Monterey for the Labor day weekend, and looked for a Saturday round of Golf. Tried an old past favorite.. Rancho Canada -West course. I was not disappointed. The price was right, desired time window (9-11am) available and weather was spectacular!
The course conditions were very good, and did not notice to much drought impact. Fairways cut nice, and greens were firm but in great shape. Putts rolled very true. West course was as I remembered with narrow windows for some drives and creek crossings. It was a good visit back to past rounds.
