About
The Championship 18 hole course and driving range contains 140 acres adjacent to Salinas Municipal Airport. The course is a par 72 with a Black Tee 71.9 rating, a Blue Tee 70.7 rating, a White Tee 69.4 rating, a Red Tee 69 rating and a Gold Tee 65.4 rating. In 1998 Golf Course Architect Steve Halsey, of Hlsey Darary Golf in La Mesa California redesigned the course for a complete renovation. Mr. Halsey is an accomplished California Golf Course Architect having provided architectural design for the following golf courses: The River Course at Alisal, Solvang; Coronado Municipal Golf Course; Balboa Park Municipal Golf Course; Salinas Golf & Country Club; Palo Alto Golf Course; Modesto Municipal Golf Course and El Segundo Golf Course.

Another good Golf day
Course conditions were vary good, weather condition little foggy ,just right, not to hot ..The key is to score well on the front knowing there will be some channenging wind on the back nine . The real factor is to be aggressive with club selection swing smooth and hit greens in regulation.,make a one putt now and then ..Just another good day at the Fairways !!!
Great Course
Enjoy this course every time I play. Fairways and greens are kept up very well. Fun course.
Salinas Fairways
Overall I had a good experience. Course was open with a few trees here and there. One water hazard. Greens were fast but tracked well. Worth it for the price from Golf Now.
Great course with wide, flat fairways and fast greens. Recent investment shows with lots of tree work and well maintained turf. Very walkable course although we carted. Will definitely return.
Good municipal course
This course is a very good municipal course. Yes, you get views of the ocean and beautiful homes just a few miles west, but this is a course that is in good shape, not too long or short (several sets of tees), and a good bet for all levels of player. The course gets close to the airstrip, and is not as scenic right there, but that's only for a few holes. We rode, but it would be easy to walk, with few hills. Prices are way less than they are just west of here. This course is worth a visit.
First Try
Surprised at the quality of the course. Greens were very nice although difficult to read the speed and subtle breaks. Nicely groomed fairways were relatively wide which helped in the windy conditions.
Improved
Although the day I played was foggy and cold, the course stood up to the test.The bunkers have improved with actual sand in the bunkers. However the unfixed divots were noticeable and I believe there needs to be a stricter policy on older players fixing their divots since they clearly want to head to the bar then care about course conditions. All and all a very good experience.

Time to remove downed trees!
Normally, this is a great course, but we had a storm several weeks ago that down to about 40+ trees on the course, those trees are all over and are a hindrance to normal play, There is no evidence of beginning of removal of those trees. That's the only downside for play at this golf course and they should be reducing their prices until the trees are removed
Good round
Course was in great shape for third week in December the greens were outstanding.
Excellent Value
Greens were nice. staff friendly. some challenging par 5's and most of the par 3's are medium to long. Like playing there. one pet peeve is allowing fivesomes. although they play at a decent pace, they rarely let a twosome through.

Not good
Booked a 12:50 time so me and my lady had time to play 18. We tee'd off at 1:15 due to no carts available. Then we were paired up with 2 more and finally a 5th. A fivesome! Great guys but the pace of play was horrible. 3 hours to play only 9 holes and we left...
We went to the restaurant to order a sandwich and they said it would be 25 minutes as they were busy. Will not return.
